The Story of Vine-Life Christian Fellowship

Dr. Robert L. Wilks, Jr. is the pastor and founder of Vine-Life Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California. Vine-Life opened the doors to its first service on May 3, 1987. Membership currently numbers over 3,000 people.

Before founding Vine-Life, Dr. Wilks served for eleven years as a Protestant Chaplain in the United States Air Force. The Air Force provided an opportunity for ministry as well as personal growth for Dr. Wilks, but in 1987, with the rank of Major, he resigned his military commission and founded Vine-Life Christian Fellowship.

Shortly after founding Vine-Life, Dr. Wilks' hunger for the reality of the word of God began to grow. This led to his being baptized with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4.

Dr. Wilks' spiritual growth and progress in the Word has been evident to all and is being reflected in the life of his congregation. Many have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and are enjoying God's blessings.
